She was Marina Cooper for three years in Guiding Light, a role that earned her the 2003 Soap Opera Digest Award nomination for Outstanding Newcomer. Dollar appeared as Cindy Thomas from 2007 until 2008 in the ABC soap opera Women's Murder Club. She starred on the 2012 NBC pilot Happy Valley but it was not picked-up.
