Annette Funicello, then 13 years old, was spotted to be a child by Walt Disney in an amateur performance of Swan Lake performed in Fullerton California. Although produced by AIP the scripts were individually reviewed and signed off by Walt Disney, in order to protect Annette's impeccable image.
